Morocco has enough sheep for immolation feast, minister
The Moroccan agriculture department said Tuesday Morocco has enough sheep for the immolation feast, due early next March.
Some 5.16 million sheep will be available on the market and will cover the demand for the immolation feast, the department said in a release.
The demand for sheep this year will stand at 4.79 million, the department said, adding this year's demand will record a slight increase of 0.5 percent over last year.
Almost every Moroccan household immolates at least one sheep during the feast that perpetuates the memory of the sacrifice of prophet Abraham.
