The Moroccan National Observatory of Child's Rights, the Lebanese Hariri Foundation and the Arab Childhood Council, on Monday released a joint statement in which they pledged to work together for the promotion of child's rights in the Arab states.

The three bodies said they will collaborate with Arab parliaments and all concerned bodies to devise new laws protecting child's rights. They also said they will convince Arab governments to place child issues on top of their development priorities.

The three parties also stressed will to continue the fight against poverty, raise populations' living standards and ensure lasting development through adequate programs, especially to the benefit of children.

The three bodies issued their statement at the end of the Arab forum of civil society organizations on childhood, held in Rabat Feb. 15-19.
