Volcano expected in White Nile province in Sudan

A representative at the Sudanese national council has warned against the eruption of a volcano whose traces started to appear in Eid al-Zaki and Wid al-Najoumi in the " White Nile province " in the east part of the country.

The parliament representative Suleiman Mabloul Ali told the Sudanese daily Akhbar al-Youm that one of the Geologists made a preliminary study for the region in which he stressed that there is a volcano which has so far resulted in the collapse of several classes in schools and cracks in other buildings and health centers and hospitals.

Ali added that the director general of the engineering affairs at the "White Nile" province gave his directives to study the region geologically and to prepare a report about the continued cracks in the buildings.
