Italian press highlights Mubarak's visit to Italy

Italian news media Sunday highlighted the three-day visit of President Hosni Mubarak to Italy. Mubarak is scheduled to hold talks with President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and Prime Minister Ginliano Amato. "The visit is of special importance as it comes on the heels of the Israeli elections," the papers said.

Italy is keen to listen to Mubarak's viewpoints as regards the latest developments in the region, especially the peace process, they added.

According to Mubarak's assessment of the situation, Italy will crystallize its visualization and internal and external moves in accordance with its desire for realizing peace and stability in the region, Italian news media said.
