Morocco denies contaminated blood imports from Britain
Morocco on Tuesday denied the importation of contaminated blood from Britain.
Morocco did not import Creutzfeld Jakob disease infected blood from British labs, the health ministry said in a release sent to MAP.
The Guardian daily reported last February 5 that Creutzfeld Jakob disease tainted blood was exported in 1997 to several countries, including Morocco.
The ministry said that inspection conducted following the publication of the information in all national centers authorized to import blood showed that no such products were imported from the concerned labs during 1997.
