Al-Assad discusses relations with Bahraini delegation

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday received Bahrain's minister of finance and the economy Abdullah Bin Seif.

Present at the meeting were Bahrain's ambassador in Damascus. Talks dealt with fraternal relations between the two states.

Earlier in the day, the prime minister Muhammad Mustafa Miro received the Bahraini minister. Senior officials representing the two sides attended the meeting.

Talks dealt with relations between the two states in various economic, trade and scientific fields, encouraging joint investment between the private and public sectors and the exchange of technical and scientific expertise in the area of banking performance in the interests of the two sisterly countries.

The Bahraini minister arrived in Damascus earlier in the day and was received by the minister of the economy and foreign trade Muhammad al-Imadi and ministry officials concerned.
