Jordanian- Cypriot cooperation

The speaker of the Jordanian parliament Abdul Hadi al-Majali discussed with the Cypriot foreign minister bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects of available co-operation in various economic, tourism, investment and parliamentary fields.

The Jordanian and Cypriot governments signed the documents of ratifying an agreement to transfer sentenced peoples between the two countries.

On the Jordanian side, the agreement was signed by the Jordanian deputy prime minister Fares al- Nabulsi and the justice minister while the Cypriot side was signed by the Cypriot foreign minister.

Jordanian official sources said that this agreement aims at attaining the possibility of exchanging sentenced people to spend their sentences in their country if they are wishing so.
