Tension in the Saudi, British relations
Sources at the British foreign ministry in London on Wednesday expected the occurrence of a crisis in the relations between Britain and Saudi Arabia after the appearance of a British on the Saudi TV admitting that he took part in carrying out the two explosions in al-Riyadh in November 2000 resulted in killing one person and wounding other four.
The sources which were described as well-known said that the signals of a diplomatic crisis between London and al-Riyadh escalated after news rumored on the possibility of punishing the British and his collaborators in carrying out the two explosions by execution according to the Islamic Sharia.
The sources added the first signals of the crisis is the possibility that the British crown prince Charles to cancel his visit to Saudi Arabia.
The sources explained that Britain protested on the way the Saudi government dealt with the convicted involved in the two explosions case and its refusal to permit several British officials from taking part in the investigations.
Other media sources suspected the correctness of the televised confessions made the convicted British Alexander Sandy.
