Japan extends Morocco $ 43.6 million loan
The Japanese Bank of International Cooperation (JPIC) extended on Tuesday to Morocco a $ 43.6 million loan (around 458 million DH) to help in financing a double railway between Meknes and Fez. The project, worth $ 812 million, is a continuation of the Casablanca-Fez railway, says the Moroccan railway authority (ONCF) in a statement.
ONCF had obtained in October 1999 a 55 million Euro loan from the European Investment Bank for the same project.
