Arafat speaks on the telephone with Mubarak

Chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat on Sunday evening from Davos, Switzerland, made a telephone call with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. Arafat and President Mubarak were due to meet on Monday in Sharm al- Sheikh to review latest developments concerned the israeli- Palestinian negotiations which were halted by the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak on Sunday, until after the Israeli elections in February.

The official in charge of planning and international co-operation in the Palestinian Authority Nabil Shaath told Sawt al-Arab radio.
