Mubarak and purifying the Arab atmospheres
Arab political sources told the London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily on Sunday that the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak did not propose during the summit he held with the Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz on Saturday at al-Thamaneyah area ( Northern East of al-Riyadh) any Egyptian initiative to purify the atmospheres between Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
The sources added that President Mubarak is carrying an Iraqi proposal submitted by Taha Yassin Ramadan the first deputy for the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein during his recent visit to Cairo calling on Egypt to play this role of bringing together views between Baghdad and each of Riyadh and Kuwait.
The sources said that Egypt has welcomed the idea as the Arab states are now witnessing a critical stage of its history.
