Iraqi vice president to visit Damascus

The Lebanese daily al-Sharq said on Monday that the Iraqi vice- President Taha Yassin Ramadan will shortly visit Syria to discuss means of strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The paper added that the Iraqi government met under the leadership of the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and discussed the general framework of the visit which was not fixed yet.
