House of Representatives Agrees to Publish Bank Financial Irregularities Investigation Report

The House of Representatives on Friday unanimously agreed to publish a report by the investigation commission on financial irregularities in the CIH bank and asked the government to start judiciary action against those involved in the irregularities.

Parliamentary groups, meeting at plenary session, said findings of the commission will have "political and legal effects" on the moralization of public life in Morocco and called for similar commissions to investigate other state enterprises in the same situation.

The commission investigating in the case "Credit Immobilier et Hotelier" (CIH), which submitted on Wednesday its findings to the House of Representatives, found serious irregularities and said it has identified those responsible for the irregularities.

The commission also recommended a radical change in the financial institution management methods.
