Some 630 rebellions and more 1500 others were considered as wounded or missing, in the battles that took place in the recent days between the Sudanese army forces and rebellions from Southern Sudan led by John Garang in the areas of Kubra al-Loul; and the outskirts of Oeil city to the north of Baher al-Gazelle.

The Sudanese daily al-Anbaa said on Monday quoting a military source that the forces of Ashwaq al-Ummah could have control on 450 guns, Klashinkov and other types of weapons during the confrontations with the rebellions.

The Sudanese military source explained that the rebels withdrew what was left of their forces and military ammunition in Aryak, Oleij, Adak and Areil to some camps far out of Baher al-Gazelle.
