US- British bombardment of Iraqi civil installations

An Iraqi military spokesman said on Monday that American and British jet fighters on Monday bombarded civil installations to the south of Iraq but the spokesman did not note human casualties.

He explained that several formations backed by OAX plane carried out some 18 armed sorties over areas in the provinces of al-Basra, Zee Qar, al-Mouthanna, Meisan, al-Qadeseyah and al-Najaf in Southern Iraq.

He added that the American and British planes bombarded civil installations, noting that the Iraqi anti- aircraft missiles confronted the raiding planes.

He said that all air sorties over north and south Iraq reached 28316 armed air sorties since December 1998 until now ( the present time).
