Sharon meets with Netanyahu
The chairman of the Israeli Likud extremist party Ariel Sharon has stressed that he will halt the Israeli- Palestinian negotiations if he wins the position of the prime minister at the coming Israeli elections.
Upon his meeting with the former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv on Monday, Sharon added he will not sign an agreement that will take off the Israeli control on the city of Jerusalem and the Jordan valley or any area situated in the West bank and Gaza or violating what he called the security of Israel and its settlers.
Sharon has welcomed Netanyahu's return back to the elections committee concerning the Likud which aims at foiling the resigned Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak and to defeat him. The Israeli radio reported.
