Three-month biological rest for cephalopods decreed
Cephalopod fisheries will stop on a three-month "biological-rest" as of January 1st between Boujdour and Lagouira, said a release of the sea-fishery department.
The stoppage in the Ocean southern shores was decreed pursuant to a meeting chaired by minister Said Chbaatou on November 16 with unions meant to design regulation measures for the fishery and recommendations of the national fish research institute "INRH."
The decision which applies to high-sea, coastal and traditional cephalopod fisheries might be extended to April 2001.
