A project to pomp Qatari gas to UAE, Oman

After the signing of the Egyptian, Lebanese and Syrian gas pipeline project, work is underway to erect a pipeline for transporting natural gas from Qatar to Oman through the United Arab Emirates.

This project, named " al-Delfin project" is considered the largest energy project in the world as an amount of 3 billion cubic meters of gas will be pumped every day through this pipeline of 800 Kms length.

Initially, Dubai emirate intends to benefit from this gas in building new stations for generating electricity and new centers for water desalination from the Ocean. So far, Oman did not specify the amount of the Qatari gas that it will buy, although it owns has a considerable reserves of gas
