Slight fall in tourists who visited Marrakesh in november 2000

The number of tourists who visited Marrakesh in November dropped slightly (1.7%) as compares with the same month of last year, the local tourism delegation said.

The number of visitors dropped from 84,204 to 83,217, said the delegation ascribing the drop to lesser Moroccan and German visitors to the city.

Visitors from European countries were, however, on the increase with Italians in the lead with 6,000 tourists against 3,766 in November 1999 followed by Spaniards.
