Citizens of the Golan stress their commitment to Syria

The people of the occupied Syrian Golan heights on Wednesday issued a statement on the 19th anniversary of their uprising against the decision of the Israeli Knesset to annex their Syrian lands to the Israeli occupation in 1981.

Meantime, the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad received a cable from the students of the occupied Golan who study in Damascus in which they stressed that " all tools of terrorism and killing will never undermine our deep and total commitment to our motherland Syria and adherence to our Syrian Arab Republic's identity."

The statement of the people of the Golan stressed their determination to continue struggle against occupation by all available means. The statement expressed pride of the Syrians of the Golan and their strong affiliation to the homeland Syria.

The people of the Golan hailed the struggle mounted by the Palestinian people. They stressed the deep militant solidarity which is extended from the Golan to South Lebanon.
