Sudan, Britain and the US
The British ambassador in al-Khartoum Richard Macbeth has stressed that his country continued dialogue with the American administration to narrow the gap between the US and Sudan.
In a statement to the Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am issued on Tuesday, the ambassador added that Britain continuously seeks to convince the US administration of the actual positive changes pursued by the Sudanese policy recently.
The British ambassador praised the meeting held two days earlier between the American charge de affairs in Khartoum and the secretary general of the ruling national congress party Ibrahim Ahmad Omar.
He added that such meetings reveal points of differences in the relations between al-Khartoum and Washington.
