Sudanese minister resigns because Sudan wastes its resources
Sudanese minister of state at the ministry of road and communications Taaban Dinq has announced his resignation from his post in protest that the Sudanese government did not implement the al-Khartoum agreement concerning peace.
In a message he faxed on Tuesday from Nairobi, addressed to the Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir and published by the Sudanese daily al-Sahafi al-Dawli on Wednesday. Dinq added that he had resigned from his post in protest of the Sudanese government's violations to al-Khartoum agreement and for investing all oil revenues to back the armed forces and neglecting areas that produce oil in the south besides strengthening the armed militias and the forces split from the Democratic Salvation Front.
Dinq, however, is considered one of the key leaders of the Democratic salvation front and al-Nweir tribe. He was the first to negotiate the government in 1993 and then he led the secret negotiations which resulted in signing the al-Khartoum agreement for peace in 1997. He remained the main aid for Reyak Mashar, the chairman of the front, the vice President and the chairman of the council of the southern districts coordination who had also submitted his resignation from Nairobi last February.
