Originally published

It was decided in Jordan to convene a meeting between the vocational trade unions and several parliament members in order to co-ordinate co-operation between the two sides for resisting all forms of normalization and canceling the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel.

The chairman of the Jordanian anti- normalization committee for the trade unions Ali Abu Sukkar told the London- based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily that some 12 parliament members among those who signed a memorandum calling for drafting a law to cancel the peace treaty with israel were due to have met on Tuesday with the trade unions council members and chairman and members of the anti- normalization committee in the Jordanian vocational trade union in order to co-operate and co-ordinate with members of the Jordanian parliament to discuss this matter.

Earlier some 16 Jordanian parliament members signed a memorandum handed to the speaker of the Lebanese parliament Abdul Hadi al-Majali calling on the Jordanian government to draft a resolution to abrogate the Israeli- Jordanian peace treaty in light with the Israeli massacres against the Palestinians.
