Originally published

The Tunisian ambassador to Rabat Salah Bekkari renewed his country's commitment to work jointly with Morocco for the completion of a united Arab Maghreb.

Bekkari, visiting speaker of the chamber of advisors Mustapha Okacha, underscored the importance of jointly facing coming deadlines such as the coming into force of the free-trade agreement of 2010.

Okacha hailed parliamentary relations which can widen the scope of bilateral cooperation greeting the coming visit to Morocco of the speaker of the Tunisian House of Representatives. He also voiced hope the recent visit to the kingdom of Algerian state interior minister would be a new step towards overcoming difficulties crippling common action and a new start for a united Maghreb as a strategic choice meeting peoples' expectations.

The Arab Maghreb Union musters Algeria, Libya, Mauritanian, Morocco and Tunisia.
