The Turkish daily "Daily News" said on Friday quoting Turkish diplomatic sources that the Turkish foreign minister Ismael Cim will head for Israel next week in a visit described by these sources as " surprising."
The sources explained that during his short visit to Israel, Cim will meet with the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak and then will move to the Palestinian territories where he will meet with several palestinian officials.
Though the sources did not indicate the aim of the visit, yet it said that they met on Thursday on the sideline of the foreign ministers of the Mediterranean countries in Marseilles his Israeli counterpart Shloumo Bin Ami.
