Originally published

Contacts are being made between Cairo and Riyadh to convene the meeting of the joint Egyptian- Saudi committee during the holy month of Ramadan. The meetings will be held in Riyadh.

The works of the committee will be presided over by the foreign ministers of the two states: Amr Moussa and his Saudi counterpart prince Saud al-Faisal. It was, however, decided before to hold the committee's sessions on October 15 and 16 but they were postponed because of convening the urgent Arab summit which was held in Cairo on October 21 and 22.

The Egyptian weekly al-Ahram al-Iqtisadisaid said that the Egyptian- Saudi committee is concerned with all aspects of developed relations between the two states in all areas, particularly in the economic, trade and consulate areas and to work for their development and increasing the volume of Saudi investment in Egypt.
