Muslims raise funds for pan-Islamic body
Muslims launched on Monday a fund-raising operation in favor of the Organization of Islamic Conference OIC, which wound up its 9th summit in the Qatari capital city, Qatar's ruler, Sheikh Hamad Ben Khalifa Al-Thani, announced. Qatar and Kuwait donated $ three million each, while Saudi Arabia donated $ 10 million to the OIC, Sheikh Hamad said in a speech at the closing session of the summit.
The funds are destined to back the OIC action in favor of Muslim countries, he added.
