The United Arab Emirates UAE daily al-Bayan issued on Sunday said that the Syrian sources have strongly denied to have any link between statements made by the Lebanese parliament member Walid Jumblat and the confrontations between the armed Bedouins and the peasants in al-Sweida province.

This conflict was erupted over grazing matters in the Syrian province between the peasants of Sweida who are of the Druze sect and the Bedouins and resulted in three killing and tend wounded and this conflict was settled at the direct interference of the Syrian minister of the Interior . These events coincided with Jumblat 's statement against Syria, who is for his part is an influential Druze leader in Lebanon. The events took place in Sweida were greatly regretted by all Syrians . But it was found out that it has no implications with Jumblat 's statements as stressed in the news.

The paper explained that there is no link between what had happened in the province of al-Sweida ( in the south of Syria) and what was raised by the Lebanese parliament member Walid Junblat on the Syrian troops in Lebanon, stressing that the reasons for the confrontation lie on that the Bedouins used the farms of the people of al-Sweida province to graze their sheep.

The sources indicated that disputes took place in recent years between the Bedouins and the peasants for the same reasons but these disputes have been greatly developed this time.

The paper added that news of the confrontations in the province of Sweida raised atmospheres of both official and popular levels as unprecedented incidents in Syria since decades.
