Can-2000-women basket-ball: Moroccan squad moves on to semi-finals

The Moroccan women basket-ball team moved on to the semi-final rounds of the 17th African Nations' Cup "CAN-2000" in Tunis ousting Friday the Mozambican peer (61-52).

The Moroccan ladies who conceded one defeat and won three games ranked second in group "B" with 7 points behind the title-holder Senegal.

Qualifying for the semi-finals also bought the squad a ticket to the 4th Francophone games scheduled for July 2001 in Canada.

The Angolan and Tunisian teams which top group "A" also move to the Can-2000 semi-finals.
