President al-Assad to visit Iran

The Kuwaiti daily al-Anbaa issued on Friday quoted well-informed Syrian sources as saying that President Bashar al-Assad will pay a visit to Iran in the framework of the Syrian moves towards maintaining regional dialogue with the aim to divert attention to the dangers of the Israeli threats against security and stability in the region.

The sources expected that this visit will be after a tripartite summit to be held in al-Riyadh between Presidents al-Assad and Mubarak and the Saudi King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz.
