Khaddam arrives in Ankara carrying a message from President al-Assad to the Turkish President

Vice- President Abdul Halim Khaddam arrived in Ankara on Thursday carrying a message from President Bashar to President Ahmad Najdat Ceasar of the republic of Turkey. At Ankara's international airport, vice President Khaddam was welcomed by the Turkish deputy Premier Doulat Bahjli, the deputy foreign ministry secretary Ogor Zeyal, the Syrian charge d'affairs in Ankara and the Turkish ambassador in damascus.

Khaddam is accompanied in his official visit by the minister of state for foreign affairs Nasser Qaddour.
