Used-water processing model station operated in Agadir
A model station for the processing of used-water for use in agriculture was launched at the Drarga rural community in the Agadir region.
The $ 12 million worth project carried out with the USAID is a part of a major joint wider scheme meant to improve water management and conservation in the region using advanced pollution-reducing technology.
Recycled water will be used to irrigate nearby cultures of wheat, fodder and vegetables and help farmers save on use of fertilizers.
The station inaugurated by city planning, urbanism and environment minister Mohamed El Yazghi and US ambassador Edward Gabriel will have a positive sanitary impact preventing used water from finding its way to underground water in the region.
