El-Mahdi will return to Sudan by the end of the coming month

El-Sadek El-Mahdi, the former Sudanese prime minister and chief of Umma party said that the date of his return to Sudan will be on the 23rd of the coming month.

This came during his meeting with the Eritrean President Asias Aforki in Asmara yesterday.

Aforki assured during his meeting with El-Mahdi that he will continue his communications with the Sudanese government and all the Sudanese political forces to support a comprehensive political solution.

On the other hand, the Sudanese Union party achieved an important step yesterday toward unifying its internal lines which witnessed severe disputes in the last months as Mohammed Othman El-Merghany -- the chief of the party -- in Asmara yesterday and the two leaderships in the unionist party discussed reestablishing the party to cope with the needs of the current phase and the necessity of achieving the democratic change inside the party as well as reestablishing its corporations in addition to unifying the efforts of all its leaderships.
