Sudanese official holds the US responsible for continued war in the South

Sudan's foreign relations minister Mustafa Othman Ismael has held the US responsible for the continued war in Southern Sudan, through its continued backing to the rebellion movement in Southern Sudan led by John Garang.

In press statements issued by the Sudanese dailies on Monday, Ismael called on the UN to reconsider its relations with the rebel movement and instead to invest these relations for establishing peace and reconciliation in Sudan.

He continued that that the rebellions movements un-seriousness, stubbornness and hesitation to abide by peace solutions and Garang's new conditions he stipulated, all come in the framework of the backing he received from the USA.
