Disputes between U.S and Yemeni bodies concerning USS Cole investigation

The Yemeni security forces enhanced its deployment near the places in which the U.S investigators assembled and placed steel barriers near Eden hotel after the departure of the U.S destroyer cook from Eden harbor yesterday.

Informed Yemeni sources revealed that there are disputes between the Yemeni bodies assigned to investigate the explosion and the affiliated F.B.I team, while Yemeni diplomatic sources in Cairo said that tens of the Egyptian Islamists were arrested in Yemen and are being interrogated by the Yemeni authorities in association with U.S investigators.

General Hussein Arab, the Yemeni interior minister said in a press conference yesterday that "the Yemeni authorities reached important and positives results in its investigations in the USS Cole explosion," referring to that among these results are recognizing the photo of one of the persons that was on the suicide boat being recognized as an Egyptian as well as reaching information about the second suspect and his photo and that confirmations concerning them are currently taking place.

In Eden, It was known that the detentions included Yemenis who are known of their support to Chechnia and that the second ranking man in Eden army group was detained days before the explosion and that he gave important information about the places in which Jihad regulation members exist.
