Mubarak: peace needs might to protect it
Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak Thursday said that the Israeli attacks against Palestinians and against Muslim and Christian holy shrines in Jerusalem require a firm stand and allied efforts to bolster Arab solidarity. "Though just and comprehensive peace is the Arab nations' strategic option, peace needs might to protect it and deter any attempt to undermine it," Mubarak added.
This came in Mubarak's address at a ceremony held by Teachers Union to mark the Teacher Day. The address was read out on his behalf by Education Minister Hussein Kamel Bahauddin.
During their ceremony ,Speaker of Shura Council, Moustafa Kamal Helmy, read out an address saying that teachers have undertaken the noblest mission of declaring the principles of freedom and science.
Then, both Bahauddin and Helmy honoured the foremost science pioneers and 225 ideal teachers.
