King Mohammed launches construction works of Mohammadia industrial zone
Morocco's King Mohammed VI on Friday launched construction works of a 117-hectare industrial zone in Mohammadia, near Casablanca.
The zone includes 686 industrial plots endowed with all necessary infrastructure. The project will help generate 6,000 direct jobs in a first stage.
The project was started in 1989, but was delayed due to financing problems. It was resumed thanks to financial contribution of $ 4 million by the Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development in addition to another $ 32.2 million by the regional development and construction company ERAC and the national equipment and construction company SNEC.
