Al-Baz: Egypt will not sever relations with Israel

Osama al-Baz, the political advisor for the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said on Tuesday in an interview with the Lebanese daily al-Mustaqbil that his country will not withdraw it ambassador from Israel nor boycott relations with it.

He added that Egypt at the meantime does not see any good in a step to sever relations and " we will make a step just to please some angry masses."

He explained that Egypt's relations with Israel are invested to serve the Arab cause," adding " we are not taking any measure unless it proves it serves the Arab position."
