Meirghani calls coalition leadership to meet October 20 in Asmara

Sources at the Sudanese opposition in Asmara said that the chairman of the opposition democratic national coalition Muhammad Othman al-Meirghani called members of the coalition leadership to meet on October 20 in Asmara to follow up results of the visit made by the President of Eritrea Asyas Afourki last week to al-Khartoum.

Afourki has succeeded in bringing together President Omar al-Bashir and al-Meirghani in Asmara in a step that paves for direct negotiations between the government and the opposition coalition.
