Hizbullah and Syria

The Lebanese daily al-Deyar said that Hizbullah has succeeded in bringing back Syria to the " world equation " after flagrant American attempts to marginalize Syria's role on the regional level following the Israeli withdrawal from South Lebanon.

In its Tuesday's editorial, the paper added that Damascus has become since the kidnapping of the Israeli soldiers as a " pilgrimage " for international envoys and a pivot for the movements of contacts which will not stop until the release of the kidnapped. It is a chance for the Syrians to make use, as much as possible from the international need for its role.
