Al-Hoss confers with Russian foreign minister

Lebanese premier and foreign minister Salim al-Hoss on Monday discussed with the Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov developments of conditions on the regional arena and the situation in South Lebanon.

Official sources said that Ivanov listened from al-Hoss to the Lebanese point of view which is based on national principles towards the Middle East peace process and the escalated Israeli acts of violence in the Palestinian territories, the recent Israeli threats against Syria and Lebanon, a matter which endangers peace in the region.

During the meeting al-Hoss stressed Lebanon's right to release its detainees in the Israeli jails and its right to restore back the Shebaa farms area.
