Barak tries to justify massacres against the Palestinians to Europeans
Israel's Prime Minister Ehud Barak on Thursday evening sent messages to heads of several European states in which he tried to escape the responsibility for the bloody events taking place in the occupied Arab lands and the massacres his forces committed against the Palestinians.
In his messages Barak claimed that the Palestinians are responsible for the continued confrontation and that the Israeli army has maintained self control.
The Israeli radio said that Barak called on the presidents of these states to urge the Palestinian government to proceed towards what he called " peace." Barak also claimed that he is determinant to achieve peace, but he is, on the other hand, obliged to take all necessary measures to guarantee what he called the security of Israel.
To this effect, the Israeli acting foreign minister Shloumo Bin Ami has decided to delegate Israeli diplomats to several European states and to the US in an attempt to explain Israel's position towards the bloody events taking place in the occupied Arab lands in the past seven days.
The Israeli radio said that it was decided to delegate Odit Eiran to the commissions of the European Union in Brussels and other delegates to Britain, Germany and France.
