Palestinian official: Israel is sending a message to Palestinian negotiators through canons

Mohammed Dahlan, the head of the Palestinian preventive security, said that "there is an Israeli message for us" in the acts that they are undertaking , in reference to the Palestinian - Israeli final stage negotiations.

He added " we informed the Israeli side especially the Israeli foreign minister and the police minister of the necessity of banning Sharon from visiting al-Aqsa mosque and we told them that the violence will break out if this visit took place yet it was obvious that they want violence and to use jets as well as tankers."

He said "Israel wants to address a message to us through these bloody events to negotiate under the threat of canons, missiles, jets and live ammunition."

He added that "the Palestinian demonstrations are spontaneous and are due to the endless Israeli provocation for they killed a 3 months baby - did this baby threw stones at them?"
