Originally published

Officials at the US immigration and nationality department said that the last group of the 241 Christian refugees of Iraqi Keldans had crossed Mexico borders to the US seeking to have the right to political asylum.

The spokeswoman for the department Mary Ann Freeman said on Saturday that the last group which is composed of 18 refugees, who say that they have been exposed to repression crossed the borders on Friday.

Freeman added that the department sees that the last group's crossing signifies the end of an incident which has become international, adding that the specialized court in the immigration affairs in Saint Diego will study the case of each of the refugees during the few coming months.
