A third arm deal between Israel and the US within one week

For the first time within one week, the US administration announced on Thursday an arm deal for Israel estimated at US $ 525 million, including to provide Israel with 35 Black Hawk helicopters besides 70 engines, spare parts, training equipment and logistic items.

A statement by the US state department said that the deal which was requested earlier by Israel aims at strengthening the Israeli air fleet and the Israeli army defense capacities.

The statement considered the deal as will not affecting the main military balance in the Middle east describing Israel as an important state for political stability and economic growth in the region.
