Originally published

According to well-informed Turkish sources, the Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas expected that the Turkish foreign minister Ismael Cim will visit Syria next month to have an agreement with his Syrian counterpart Farouk al-Sharaí on the new mechanism for political dialogue between the two countries before the visit President Bashar al-Assad to be held for Turkey.

In its Tuesday's issue, the paper noted the visit to be held by the Syrian minister of the Interior Muhammad Harba to Turkey, adding that this visit is of special importance because it comes after two years after the Adanah agreement.

The paper quoted Syrian officials as saying that Harba's talks with his Turkish counterpart will concentrate on details and basics of the coming phase concerning security cooperation, border demarcation, smuggling operations through the borders and Turkish properties in Syria and Syrian properties in Turkey.
