Nabil Shaath: Israel is far from the peace track
Nabil Shaath, the minister of the Palestinian international cooperation and planning, assured that his country "will not accept what is said that has Israel done its best and we believe that the nearest thing to go to are the borders of June 1967 which Israel did with Egypt and Jordan."
He said that the refugees' problem is very important and "we believe that the fair solution for it requires a development in the Israeli thinking to reach the right of return for all the refugees assuring that Israel is very far from the peace track."
He added that Israel's Acting Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben-Ami went to Cairo and Jordan in an attempt to break the current deadlock yet we do not know exactly what took place in these two meetings.
