Yemen: Health emergency due to a fever sweeping the north

The Yemeni authorities announced emergency conditions in the northern Yemeni areas due to the domination of the Rift valley fever during the last 2 days to which some citizens died.

The authority say the disease was transfered through the virus through mosquitos in afflicted places with the same disease in Saudi Arabia and in neighboring African countries.

More than 60 persons died in the northern areas close to Saudi Arabia due to this disease and Yemeni sources said that this virus prevails in Hadida governorate 220 kilometer from Sanaa.

This virus appeared lately in Saudi Arabia and in some neighbor countries and moved to Yemen through mosquitos and it causes strong fever which can lead to death and it also kills annimals.
