Peace talks tomorrow between government and public movement for liberating Sudan
Ahmed Ibrahim El-Taher, the advisor of the Sudanese president for the peace affairs and head of the government's delegation in the negotiations with the public movement for liberating Sudan said that the coming peace talks between the government and the movement are to begin tomorrow.
The discussions will cover the third item of the principles declaration which comprises 4 pivots that include the self - management to the south, Nuba mountains area and the Blue Nile, the revolution principle and religion's relation to the state according to the specific program for the negotiations.
He said that the government's choice concerning the item of the self - management of the south is a form of federalism in return of the movement's demand to create a federalism to establish two separate countries before the transitional period, assuring that "we will not abandon the Islamic legislation with having guarantees of the religious freedom, the political work and taking care of the human rights without distinction which contradicts with the movement's perception which calls for separation of religion and state."
