Resuming the Palestinian - Israeli peace negotiations
The Palestinian and the Israeli peace negotiators in Jerusalem convened in Jerusalem for the first time since the approval of the Palestinian government last week on delaying the declaration of the Palestinian country with its capital Jerusalem.
The participants said that the meeting that was held yesterday focused on Jerusalem's future which is one of the main causes which led to the stumbling of the final peace settlement.
Nabeel Omran, minister of the Palestinian parliamentary affairs said that "resuming the negotiations with the Israeli side gives a new chance for the peace process," adding that the negotiations are not measured by the amount of time spent but by the volume of the serious initiatives and the commitment of the international legitimacy resolutions.
